TUTORING:
AGE 6 - 16 (younger or older ages are considered on a case by case basis).
PRICE: I only accept cash and checks. $35 an hour per child. Or $60 an hour for two children (ask for additional prices if additional children are added). I try to keep the sessions less than four children at a time. I also prefer to keep age groups close to each other (for instance, younger children 6-8 work well together, 9-13, 14-16), since children express art differently at these ages and need a different degree of attention.
SKILLS: I teach painting, drawing, and photography. I can teach the use of oils, acrylics, watercolors, graphite, pen, and markers. I can also teach Photoshop and Illustrator to older children. My degrees are in architecture, so I am also both skilled in building models and teaching architectural studies. I also find it important to teach basic history and philosophy of certain styles of art and artists.
PHILOSHOPY: My main focus is teaching children to always be inspired with their inner dialogues. My sessions are more about having fun then drilling a craft into a child. Technique can be easily learned, but it is more important to me that my students learn their inner voice as an artist, because this helps them on many levels of personal growth.
SUPPLIES: Most art supplies will be supplied by myself. If larger projects are done, additional cost of materials will be discussed prior to the class. If the student wants to focus on a certain medium, they can bring their supplies to the sessions.
FIELD TRIPS: Gallery and Museum tours are inherent to a students learning. Prices for the museums will be paid by the students. Car rides will have to be discussed on an individual basis.
Every child under my care must have their parental guardian sign a tutoring contract. Contracts can be viewed per
request.
